Anthony was so hell bent on disaster and self destruction that the moment someone literally said to him “hey maybe consider just marrying the girl you’re actually in love with” all he could do was go:
and honestly I love that about him.

Currently a bit obsessed with episode 4, "Victory."
1. The scene where he is saying "ladies do not hunt." Luke Thompson stole that one. His facial expressions are very distracting from KAnthony challenging each other.
2. The hunt. A) Where he makes her laugh and then smiles when he sees it. B) THAT LOOK he gives when she says "Lord Bridgerton" and he immediately snaps to and says "yes." C) The way his eyes change when he asks "and how was I looking at you?" D) the whole "let me teach you how to hold a British gun" scene.
3. The way he looks at her when Edwina says Kate wants to dance WITH HIM. He suddenly grows very intense and asks her, all the while looking at her, when up until then he's been avoiding doing so.
4. The dance itself. Even Lady Danbury notices. She was chatting with Cressida and stops to watch them, as does Daphne. I love the slow motion leg sweep part. Great camera angles in this shot and the musical score. I also like the subtle proximity things they do to show their closeness. Any other couple you see dancing together (even Anthony with other women) there's quite a bit of space between them. Almost barely touching. That doesn't seem to exist when KAnthony are on the dance floor together. Also, in Pride & Prejudice- Darcy & Elizabeth argue with each other on the dance floor over his treatment and he politely but abruptly leaves her at the end of the dance as well. This KAnthony dance had shades of this. She too didnt want to dance with Darcy and felt cornered into accepting.
Also the way she brings up Edwina, asking if he needs to ask her something regarding them. To remind herself because she's as affected as he is by their dance and the proximity to him.
5. Him growing distressed when she says she's leaving after the wedding to India.
6. The scene in his study where she says he vexes her and he says well "what do you think you do to me." They dont want to admit to anything but they cant stand the thought of the other not liking them. Hate is the other side of that love coin. Also the way he whisper-talks "my heart is with your sister." Too bad Daphne had to walk in at all. But seeing as how the writers wanted to torture us a bit more anyway, he would have found his gentlemanly honor and pulled back.
Yes, I have re-watched and thought about these scenes way too much than probably is healthy.

I never meant to start a war I just wanted you to let me in And instead of using force I guess I should've let you win
My heart:
“You are the bane of my existence” this… “object of all my desires” that….
Why are you all sleeping on a MAN saying:
“I know that I am imperfect
but I will humble myself before you
because I cannot imagine my life without you,
and that is why I wish to marry you.”
?!?!?!!!,!!,!,,,!,!!,!!,!!?!!?,,!!?!,!!?,!,?!?!?!!?!!?,,!,!,!!,!(!(!?,!,!!?,!,!,!?!!?!?!
